Infinity Ward’s new epic made 775 million dollars in the first five days of release making it one of the bestselling video games of all time.

Game developer Infinity Ward continues its bestselling “Modern Warfare” franchise with “Modern Warfare 3.” Though the game closely resembles the first “Modern Warfare,” the single player campaign mode has been greatly improved.

The single player campaign is written much more fluidly than the previous “Modern Warfare”, in which it was hard to tell where the gamers’ character was going and why it was there in the first place. The first few stages of the campaign are similar in style, zipping back and forth on the globe, but are unique because of some interesting commonalities.

One level has you shoot up the first floor of the New York Stock Exchange, and another has you protecting the Russian President on a jet.

The real star of “Modern Warfare 3” is the multiplayer. An average fan could easily mistake it for any of the previous Modern Warfare games, but minor changes in the multiplayer experience make this game a great long-term investment.

The kill streak system has been completely revamped allowing gamer to select options that don’t reset the streak back to zero when the character dies. Instead, it totals up the gamers’ kills from the entire round.

There’s even an option to customize the kill streak rewards depending on the game type. This option requires gamers to analyze how they play, and pick rewards accordingly.

For a “Call of Duty fan,” this game is a must-buy. New maps, upgraded kill streak options, and a satisfying ending brings great new elements to the table. The only downside of this game is that it hasn’t really changed too much from the previous installments.

“Modern Warfare 3” is a great example of a game where small changes can make a big difference in game play. Gamers looking for something new and different might look elsewhere, but Infinity Ward launched a great sequel to a very successful franchise.
