Ever walk threw campus and notice garbage? The parking lots almost seem like the dirtiest place on campus. When people walk to their car they leave their trash laying on the ground and in the parking lot because its expected people will clean up after them.

Trash around campus makes our school look trashy and lower class. Cleaning campus isn’t something that is hard to do it consists of not throwing trash onto the ground. Myron Fritts from campus safety talked about what students can do to help “people need to clean up after themselves and not stick what they are eating what they just ate outside their car” said Myron

Pierce’s parking lot also has an issue with birds taking trash out of the parking lot and spreading it around campus. People feed the geese and then they dig through the garbage and spread it around campus trying to find food. Will Vasquez talked about how our trash is messing up the birds’ migration patterns. “ Stop feeding the geese ‘cause they don’t migrate” said Vasquez.

Students smoke outside the smoker shed in the parking lot then leave the cigarette butts in the parking lot. They look messy and gross. There is an assigned smoking location with a proper waste disposal area.

Keep the campus clean it reflects what kind of school pierce is. Everyone needs to take the simple steps to keep campus clean.
