There are people who truly live life on the edge; to push the limits of life and the human body beyond the limits of what humans were not meant to do. Many people find a certain freedom when they put themselves outside their comfort zone.
Raymond Collazo is a student who has a driven passion for extreme sports. Collazo has been pushing life to the edge for about 30 years.
He has done many types of extreme sports like bungee jumping, white water rafting, skydiving, mountain climbing and many more.
Collazo finds the adrenaline rush to be unique and a feeling that “pumps” him up to the core. He said that it “feels like you’re the bait on the end of a fly fishing rod.”
Collazo seemed to have a natural knack for tempting fate. He is a marine vet who found that spark when static lining from a military plane. He has been in love with extreme sports ever since. Collazo said, “It gives me a feeling that I can’t find anywhere else.”
He loves the feeling so much that before he jumps, he is already sad, knowing that the event will quickly be over. Collazo wants to tackle base-jumping as his next extreme sport.
He does keep a certain level of safety before performing these stunts. Collazo had this to say to students who are interested in extreme sports; “Always partner with someone who has more experience and double check your gear.”
Life is full of amazing experiences, but according to adrenaline seekers, when you truly live on the edge of life you are truly free.
