Parents and guardians brought their kids to the Steilacoom campus wednesday, Feb. 19 to collect valuable identifying information of them. Volunteers were on hand to collect DNA swabs, dental impressions, fingerprints and photos, all tools used by families and law-enforcement to find and identify children separated from their loved ones.
The Criminal Justice Student Club & Lakewood Police Dept. sponsored the popular event, with the area in front of the Pioneer office packed with folks taking pictures and swabs and fingerprints. For more information about Child Identification Programs, go to www.childidprogram.com.
