Power Box Failure

Late last Saturday, March 3, Pierce College Fort Steilacoom experienced a power outage that resulted in cancelled classes and the campus being closed On Monday, March 5. Basic repair work was completed by the morning of March 6 and classes were able to resume. However, the campus experienced power issues the rest of the week creating access problems for some of the instructors. The Café also had problems related to power issues, so items on the menu were limited for most of the week.

The power outage was the result of a main electrical box blowing out which sits in the main parking lot in front of the CacadeBuilding by the Day Care Center. This is a developing story and more details will be published as soon as they are available.
