Students life brought flowers, so students can took them to their moms.
Mother’s Day was May 13 in this year and it is time to give mother a DIY stuff that is made from handmade. Student Life presents the event called Art and Flower Day for all students to relax for a while from study by providing tools to paint and decorate thing from scratch. There are many options for students to decorate. There are sketch for acrylic painting, coaster, candle jar, and rock. Most students grab sketch and they are very creative with their own way by mixing the color together.
“It is a unique way to make something for Mother’s Day.”, said Zenith Oris, who paints abstract painting. He decides to give his mother the painting he made after coming home since in the same day, he celebrates Mexican Mother’s Day.
“I always love when they do stuff like this because it is technically free.”, said Justina Lujan. The best thing is that Student Life uses the funding for useful event and it includes in student’s tuition fee. According to her, the stuff that students create can be given to teacher or friend, not just mom as priority. In this event, Lujan just makes canvas thing written with Happy Mother’s Day.
“It is a great event for all students to relax. If students forget to give mom present, you can make some crafts.”, said Annika Fraga, an Entertainment and Recreation Director from Student Life. Fraga paints two things, the one is rock and other is sketch. She paints coffee cup with colors coming from the cup since coffee is her mother’s favourite drink.
After done with painting, student can grab a flower as gift away to give to their mothers.
