Miss Pierce College, a long-standing tradition of beauty pageants that have been rolled up into a college theater. Ladies are judged on their etiquette, talent, and question answers but in reality it is their beauty that is judged.
America is a society that bases their opinions on looks rather than personality and etiquette. A beauty pageant is exactly what it says: a beauty pageant. No matter how much inner beauty a person has there is no possible way for a three hundred pound girl to win this contest because she is not the ideal candidate for it.
The people chosen for such pageants are those who have been selected and bred properly by their parents. They have been tutored in smiling, standing tall, and giggle flirtatiously when appropriate.
This is what our world has come to. Yet it says something when a person decides to change such skin deep idiocy and focus on making it fun and spectacular for women of all ages and sizes. Someone who turns the poisoned name of beauty pageant into a silk web of hope and acceptance; but a beauty pageant is still a beauty pageant no matter how you spin the name.
