The start of spring quarter brought blossoms, some heavy rain, and a more organized cafeteria. For those students that frequent the food area, there are more options as well as symbols to designate different meals for people with certain preferences.
These symbols show whether an item is vegetarian or vegan, gluten free, and if it contains any common foods individuals may have allergies to such as peanuts.
This organization is really useful when finding a meal or just so students don’t have to ask what every meal contains.
Another noticeable change is with popular items like mac n’ cheese and the pizza. The mac n’ cheese comes in a smaller more measured cup, and not in a giant noodle bowl. The pizza is now made with flatbread, a much healthier option.
It’s also larger so students can share with friends or pack it up and save it for later while also saving some money by not going to purchase more food later.
Bravo to Lancer for improving the food menu and students’ health as well.
