It’s not accidental; it’s by design

One of our very own faculty members here at Fort Steilacoom played on stage during the Washington State Fair. Professor Brian Martin, instructor and program coordinator of the Digital Design Department showed us his talents, playing three shows the last week of the Washington State Fair. His band of the last two years, Accidental Heroes, is a four-piece band that covers classic rock, pop and their own original music. Gary, Tim, and Fred accompany Martin playing various venues around Tacoma twice a month. Fred, works in construction, plays the guitar and is the lead vocalist. Tim is in the Mortgage business, plays the bass and is a backup singer. Gary plays the drums and is a Network administrator, and Martin being quite versatile plays the keyboard, guitar, saxophone, harmonica and my favorite the maracas a well as singing backup. Accidental Heroes is coming out with their fourth CD and can be found on Facebook for scheduled dates. Martin has been playing in bands since 1986 until about 1992 when he took a ten-year hiatus and joined the Spud Goodman Show. He is currently the Program Coordinator and instructor of the Digital Design program here at Pierce College, Fort Steilacoom as well as being the Executive Producer of Pierce TV. Being backed up by a Bachelor degree in Mathematics and a Masters Degree in Computer Programming, Brian has been teaching for 30 plus years. He has grand plans for retirement when he reaches his 35-year anniversary.
