Jesse Williams, Pierce College student, is introducing a new club-the Treasure Hunting Guild.
The emphasis of the club is to explore Pierce College’s campus in addition to providing an adventure along the way. The concept is simple: find the treasure. By combining such a simple concept with great vision, it allows the Guild to be open to anyone that wants to join—not only students, but faculty and staff as well.
Williams, the guild master, places items in various locations within college limits. Hints to the location of each item are then posted throughout the school on different bulletin boards. The objective is to decipher each hint and uncover the particular item. Students contact Williams and then present the item to him and collect a prize. All prizes will be in compliance with school rules. The amount of items students discover determines the prize they receive.
This is the first quarter that the Treasure Hunting Guild has been a part of Pierce College. “I hope to see other members start their own treasure hunts” said Williams regarding the future of the Guild. According to Williams, “there is nothing to do adventure-wise on campus,” which is what inspired him to take action and form the club. The Treasure Hunting Guild is another option when it comes to activities—for every person at Pierce College.
