  • Danielle Radcliffe came for the first time (to promote the movie Horns), wandered around the floor disguised as Spider-Man, and thousands of people sung him happy birthday at his panel.
  •     Marvel kept Avengers: Age of Ultron mostly secret, but released concept art featuring Cap’s shattered shield, and announced Guardians of the Galaxy 2. They also had new cast members from second installment of Avengers including James Spader, the voice of Ultron; Aaron Taylor-Johnson playing Quicksilver; and Elizabeth Olsen as the Scarlet Witch. Marvel also revealed a high resolution photo of Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool.
  •     The Walking Dead debuted an action-movie-esque season 5 trailer, and the block around the convention center was decked out as Terminus—the creepy, maybe cannibalistic place the TWD characters all ended up at last season.
  • Zachary Levi (Chuck, Tangled) continued growing his own intimate, small scale panels (called Nerd HQ) to benefit charity, with casts including that of Supernatural, The Maze Runner, and Orphan Black.
  • The DC comic world was also in full force at the event.  Scenes from the pilots for CW’s ‘The Flash,” Fox’s “Gotham,” and NBC’s “Constantine,” were revealed, and even a short clip from CW’s “The Arrow.” It was also announced that fans will be able to own “Batman 66’: The Complete Series,” a previously unavailable collection.
  •  Once Upon a Time discussed their Frozen-themed season, revealing a scene from the season opener, featuring Anna and Elsa at their parent’s graves. They also drop hints of a wedding for Anna.
  • Blooper reels from Game of Thrones, Hannibal, and Agents of SHIELD were all released during the convention.
  • Guillermo del Toro’s creepy living-house project, Crimson Peaks, debuted its first trailer. Legendary Studios also announced 2 new films; Godzilla 2 and a King-Kong prequel.
  • The Batman v. Superman cast made their first public appearance together and debuted a small clip from the upcoming DC movie.
  • MTV debuted their onsite “Fandom Awards” show on comic con’s first night, handing out awards for “Fandom of the Year” to kickstarter-funded movie Veronica Mars and “Visionary of the Year” to philanthropist/author John Green.
  • The Ant-Man cast chatted, teased the film and revealed Cory Stoll’s role as Yellowjacket.
  • CBS’s “Under The Dome” was also present, the directors revealing that no one is safe from death in the new season, airing August 11th. It was also hinted that some may escape from the dome this season.
  • The Maze Runner” appeared in panel form. The upcoming film is based on a popular young adult book. The film stars Dylan O’brien of Teen Wolf, and has mega franchise potential. The first trailer was revealed at the convention.
  • The Hobbit’s next installment, The Battle Of Five Armies, also debuted its trailer.
  • We also got the first trailer for Mockingjay and the announcement of a Last of Us movie.

Comic-Con also brought innumerable amazing nerd activities; from Star Wars origami to the Psychology of Star Trek, good times were had all around. While you’ll have to wait till next year for this much all around nerdiness, go on and google all the new trailers to hold you over.
