Criminal Justice advises its students
The Criminal Justice department offers all day advising for its majors and any student that might be interested

With spring quarter approaching some students needed help on how would be done.So students gathered in the Cascade third floor commons for the all day advising event where students could get assistance in determining their educational path.
This is a tradition carried over from the previous years when every department did all day advising. This would allow students to gather and get the help they need.
Many could be seen shuffling around the booths and asking about jobs and colleges. One such booth for colleges was for Saint Martin’s University. This college may be a private college but it has options and it’s also close to military students. They have campuses as close as Joint Base Lewis-McChord and as far as Centralia.
So students may have been offered education but jobs were also offered. The Federal Bureau of Prison at Seatac Federal Detention Center booth, were recruiting and giving information to any students interested in the correctional field.
The Federal Bureau of Prison at Seatac Federal Detention Center booth was manned by Elizabeth Hubacek, Health Information Technician and Jon Ell Jawwo, Senior Correctional Officer. Here they offered quite a few jobs to students who were interested. They said they weren’t looking for just Criminal Justice majors. “We also offer jobs for those in the medical field as well. So you don’t have to be a Criminal Justice Major to join.” said Hubacek.
Many students found help they needed and wanted. Some even found things that they didn’t initially think about. “A few of the booths peek my interest.” said Katie Tobosa, Criminal Justice major. “More people than I imagined showed up for the event. I’m a little surprised.” said Tobosa.
So while the event may have been for advising students, it was a help to more than just Criminal Justice majors.
