Samuel Rojas

What is your biggest accomplishment?
“My biggest accomplishment this year was overcoming the fear of networking. One of the strongest skillsets to possess is the ability to network. Whether people are looking for talent or building talent, connecting with professionals is a key skillset in career progression and mutual growth. Don’t wait for the opportunity, make it.”
Jireha Newman

What impact do you think you had this year?
“Yes, my job as ASPCD Vice President helped me grow in so many ways. I got the chance to plan events, advocate for students, attend leadership conferences, and build a strong support system all within the Office of Student Life. My job has allowed me to create connections, build my resume, and be a part of experiences that some would consider once in a lifetime. I have evolved as a leader, student, companion, and person which has made me the proudest of myself that I have ever been. Forever grateful!”

What advice do you have for the next EDI Senator?
“My advice for the future Equity Diversity, and Inclusion Senators is to focus on where the college is lacking. Focus on where the bad is, where it is unfair, because what we do is make the unfair fair.”
Wyatt Hegg
Administrator Senator
What qualities are best for your position?
“To succeed in the Office of Student Life, you must be willing to collaborate with your peers and create a welcoming environment for any student who comes to the campus. On top of this, the Administrative Senator position requires you to be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to multi-task. As the Administrative Senator, it is my job to keep notes for all meetings that happen in the office so that everyone can stay organized and up-to-date.”
